This is all being thrown into focus by the campaign to ban zombie knives and machetes. What difference would this make if you can buy equally deadly kitchen knives? A couple of years ago I was 30 yards from a murder carried out with a machete. There isn’t really a valid reason to carry a zombie knife or machete, they are not really collectible, and in the urban jungle, likely only used for intimidation and violence.
Kitchen knives are legitimate kitchen tools, and you can’t really ban the sale of those. There is already an age check on blades of any type.
Funnily I was talking with another forum member this morning, and we were postulating one prolific poster on here was probably that kid at school who had copies of guns and ammo and ninja training manuals.
