Wow that is nice, well done on hanging onto that, you could probably sell it for a fortune now as isn't everybody into vintage clothing now?
-
• #5053
Maybe, I've always found it grief selling vintage clothing. I'm terrible for hoarding sentimental clothing, I've got a cracking WW2 US marine bomber jacket which I don't wear much either on account of someone giving me (mildly justifiable) shit in the street because of the fur collar.

Arpenteur stuff is really expensive in the U.S. compared to Europe, but this was on sale so I bought. Still more expensive than it should've been but its really, really nice in the flesh. Strong recommend.

Not even slightly justifiable IMO. Just scream in their face that vintage fur is more sustainable than modern polyester faux fur and you'll be gravy.

The cycle of fashion is great! I've just dug my bomber jacket out of the wardrobe, cos the Guardian said.

That’s cool, I’ve got a soft spot for secondhand Arpenteur on eBay, it’s really well made stuff.

:)
I’ve actually got a medium Levi’s navy suede bomber that I’ve practically never worn from new if anyone’s keen? £80? No chance I’m going to be squeezing back into it this decade, shout if pics required.

Great spot, exactly what I’d been looking for, it’s really lovely in the flesh and great price. Those model photos don’t do it any justice.

Is it ok to murder people who walk around in Dryrobes®?
-
• #5065
No need. They are already dead inside.
-
• #5066
Good deal! What did you get?

The coat’s practically a body bag anyway, I’d be doing them a favour. I don’t know what internet sales wizardry they’ve pulled off but I must see six mums on the school run looking like they’ve just got out the sea.

Saw a dog in a dry robe going for a walk (nowhere near a body of water).
I nearly called the RSPCA -

If anybody is interested they're selling Percival in TKMaxx, I got a great shacket for £40 down from £149.

You're all just jealous because they manage some surfing before school run.

People who enjoy niche sport enjoy wearing signifiers to demonstrate that they enjoy niche sport even if not partaking. See also: Rapha.

You're selling me a jacket I dont need :)
What is the sizing like? I always size down in EG as even going for an oversized fit the M always drowns me. Which hasnt stopped me collecting a number of EG tops in M.
-
• #5073
I don’t know about EG sizing but I have an old XL Uniqlo packaway down jacket and a waterproof trench coat which both fit me fine, so I got an XL. The L would probably have been ok but more fitted and I like a bit of room to move around.
Not much help I guess :(
I think the photos at the bottom of the page give a better idea of how it fits and looks.

Got the seersucker suit in forest - needs a bit of altering but for the price it's great.
Always a good bargain when they put their pop up sales on

Is it ok to murder people who walk around in Dryrobes®?
Was in Whitby over Xmas and had my first view of them, mind you it was the bathers and those going to the pop-up sauna on the promenade.
Later, though, walking around the town, noticed quite a few on folk who would never be indulging in any nautical exercise other than sat on the harbour wall devouring fish and chips.
With the mood board up thread, lots of ideas for accessories!
