  • I think I'd be more accepting if Mic wasn't so active on social media - but he is, so it's clearly a case of him prioritising what he wants to do, rather than responding to his customers.

If I'd bought an O-Chain I'd have likely had it in 48 hours and at a third of the cost, with (?) support that I could actually get hold of. But, I guess there's (sadly) often a penalty for going for the one man band with interesting ideas.

  • Not meaning to defend him, but I've been in a similar position over the last years. For me there used to be a lot of pressure on social media, it's basically the only way I attract customers and if the black box that is the algorithm decides I'm not cool anymore I'd be out of a job. (Or at least I used to think that, I'm a bit more established now I think?)

I've felt terrible about making posts when my mailbox wasn't cleared out, but when e-mails stack up it feels impossible to see the forest from the trees and that post needs to happen because it may have been a couple days since the last ones and who knows what happens if you don't stick to regular posting schedule everybody says is so important.

And back on topic: I've seen some pictures of people just locking the cassette to the spokes with a cable tie. Not exactly a Dammit-grade solution, but could be a temporary fix whilst you huck it down some stairs with the full force of the Singapore military in hot pursuit.
