You can get it close to perfect if you're careful enough (although you will feel anything that's less than perfect through the brake), but the trick with these rim dings is that because of the bead hook, the adjustable spanner really only works in one direction - so you have to sneak up on it. One you go too far, you're in trouble.
How big an issue is this ding likely to be? Could I straighten it out at all?
