Solovair?
They do steel toes and used to be the manufacturer for DMs before they shifted to cheaper materials and overseas makersedit: must look for new pages before replying!

Not exactly dandy, but William Lennon do safety boots, and will IIRC let you spec colour/leather if you want; their MTO time is usually a couple of months though. https://williamlennon.co.uk/product-category/safety-footwear/

Yarmo sweaters still out of stock. Who do i turn to for robust crew neck sweaters i can wear whilst reading a Screwfix catalogue.

Think the cheaper ones here might actually be Yarmo...

Yep, i'm after that fisherman crew but it's out of stock there as well.

I tried those out, didn’t care for the soft drape and tendency to pill, much prefer Le Tricoteur.

Haha, whenever my partner and i go to anything remotely arty we prepare ourselves to be out Muji-ed by the other white/Japanese couples looking miserable. I need this jumper to up my game.

Yarmo update, Fisherman jumpers not coming back into stock anytime soon. Thanks for the suggestions, think i'll try one of those Army surplus stores where Jack Reacher shops.

Some bangers here to complete the crew vibe.

This is the same as the Yarmo one - I ordered mine from Yarmo but it has the arran crafts label, so guess they just resell them.

My local (Essex) TK Maxx had an array of Dickies trousers (double knees) for £30 and a couple of pairs of Carhartt (plain slacks, nothing exciting) for £40.

Anyone use a tool belt, or fancy spicing-up date night with some role play ("Just popped 'round to have a look at your plumbing...")?
The leather is all from Connell of Sheffield (sold via Buy Brand Tools).
Aside from the level frog (which got up-tarted), everything else is either surplus (the tool tether loops come in a 6-pack) or trialled & rejected, so not heavily used.
Available for the price of postage and you can either buy me or the server a beer (but even the triple frog is only £15-odd, so don't go overboard).

Search has failed me so: current recommendations for dungarees (aka bib and brace) that don’t cost a million pounds? Shifting to full time bike mechanic-ing in about a month and would love to rid myself of the indignity of the waistband. Dickies has so many options in my preferred cotton but I have no idea where to start.
