I know that, but wondered whether the lens was wide enough in that see star to get a good image, imagine it just be though..

It has a tiny field of view (1.29º x 0.73º) so wouldn't be able to capture the Milky Way in one frame (but it can get the sun or the moon very neatly into a frame, I guess it was designed to be able to do this) but it is possible to tile images to create a larger image. I'll be looking into doing that too!
Really wanted to unbox and try it out last night but it was stormy and windy (and hot AF) here so not the best conditions.

But the Milky Way is across the whole sky, you can photograph it with any wide angle lens.
