  • what doesn't look great to me is - for myself if I want a wider range brompton I'm interested in two things - a lower low gear to get up hills when loaded (i.e. 25" or even lower), and some close-ish gears in the round-town-flat section (i.e. mid-60"s) that are simple to shift between. This setup still forces you to choose one or the other - they've chosen to put gears 6/7/8 in a nice round-town spot, but I don't think the low gear is really low enough. put a smaller chainring on, though, and you'll spend a lot of time flipping both shifters simultaneously around gears 7/8/9/10 :/

  • You've clearly thought this through. Yeah I would like lower bottom gears without having to go to a 44t. I currently use a 54t, though I plan to move back to a 50t.
