  • was talked out of buying another smiths watch this morning

  • Thanks for the tip, I've dropped him a note

  • I have a Tissot chrono that I maybe would/should part with.
No idea if it's what you're after, definitely not as funky as the Seikos, and I am in Berlin

  • I love this but all my disposable income is going on the cc bill for summer hols and my new chefs knife

  • Dropped you a DM!

  • Ooof - sorely tempted - trying to decide whether I like this version or the tritium or go for a reduced speed master (3520.50)

  • It took me quite a while to find one with luminova. The tritium one looks great, but the hands never match and it looks odd to me.

  • Ooh. Which one? I’ve become a bit obsessed…

  • Ah, I picked up on that, but I think we're on a different plane. I'm happy to buy new , or more so I've not got the knowledge to be looking into the original authentic models, I honestly wouldn't know where to start ..
I was looking at prs 40 with two sub dials, it's an odd looker and I'm no designer but the two sub dials kinda accentuate it's oddness - almost uncomfortably

  • Enjoying the textured dial under winter sun

  • as it goes, yesterday I was talked out of it, but today I stubbornly ordered it.. think I'm becoming just as obsessed with the new gard.. I do wonder if i had hands on with a few originals id be thinking why did i waste all the time/money

  • Thanks!!

Cool watch that but currently trying to sell instead of buying.

  • Cool to see my watch in its disassembled state while having a service

  • The Timefactors watches are lovely, just very different to the originals. I'm selling a PRS-25 Gilt Dial at the moment. I like the originals because of the variety of design, the simple movements and the heritage too though.

  • Hi all. Does anyone have any experience of shipping watches insured overseas? Someone from Australia is wanting to buy something from me. My instinct is just to say no unless anyone has sensible suggestions about how to get a (£700) watch to the other side of the world!

    Thanks

  • I got an original PRS40 when they first came out, really need to put a new battery in it.

Quite tempted by the 3 sub-dial one, I've always fancied a meca-quartz but the Seiko ones are pricey.

  • Lovely colour on that dial

  • Any interest here for a Helson Shark Diver steel 38, black dial, black Saphire bezel?
Thought I’d offer here before making a FS thread

  • yeah I love it, in the light it has a sunburst effect but in indirect light its a deep indigo. I prefer the indigo but yeah, do like it.

  • New to me 2006 RAF issued Pulsar chrono to sit out the storms with up here in n Wales…

  • Does anyone here have a Nomos Club? I’m tempted by a 701 never seen one in the flesh or owned a Nomos before.

@apc nice, I’ve had a couple serviced with pics like that of the process and it’s very satisfying!

  • swatch bonfire, yay or nay? i like it m except the little bubbles inside....strange

  • I want to love Club's, but the cases are pretty one dimensional for the price, the lugs are too long on all sizes and have weird proportions, its a scratch magnet and they feel very fragile in hand IMO. Love the dials though...

  • Thanks appreciated, will have a ponder, yes do love that dial…

  • Just got my quartz grand seiko back from getting a new battery fitted. It costs 90 bucks incl tax and return shipping, if anyone wondered.
