  • Fargo 3 is great , 4 is not bad and 5 is great again.

  • Solid recos from Soul. Especially Mr Inbetween.

I'd add The Tourist on iplayer. A few sloppy bits, but overall really well done I thought. Also Ethan has to be one of the best around characters I've seen for ages.

Also Aussie, but in a totally different vien, Colin from Accounts.

  • been waiting for t hi s thread to pop back on today, i need to tell my fellow bike geeks how much I’ve been enjoying King of the Hill - I started watching from season 1 last week. just so good. also, the whole thing is free to watch on way back machine

  • The latest 24 Hours in Po Po Custody is compelling but utterly grim viewing

  • Yeah I wasn't expecting the graphic CCTV.

  • Me neither, showed how quickly events can go fully south...

  • Mr Inbetween is one of the best series I've watched in a while, it just keeps building. Great acting and really good writing.

I'm currently watching Transparent which I missed first time around, it's on Prime. Hard recommend if you've not watched it before.

  • Yeah transparent is great.

Not quite sure I finished it.

  • Started rewatching Stath Lets Flats - that bit with the pigeon in the first episode still gets me

  • Thanks all, looks like Mr Inbetween gets the vote and we'll give that a crack this weekend. Cheers

  • Boy Swallows Universe has me hooked (thankfully not on smack).

  • Boy Swallows Universe has me hooked

Me too, I thought it was a little cheesy to start but stayed with it for Ragnar Lothbrok (who does a decent Aussie accent despite being a Viking) and am very much into it now, Ep4 was pretty fucking brutal.

  • Reacher S02
Cared about none of the characters. Eight hours of my life i'll never get back. S01 wasn't much better, should have learnt.

  • I only watched 2 episodes and feel the same, S01 was fun because of the contrast between him and the other characters, but now it's just about some army dude and his buddies vs. some baddies from a Knight Rider episode.

  • I enjoyed it but the last episode jumped the shark completely. felt like a completely different show.

  • Did Reacher handle all adversity by being really big by chance?

  • Was that the tithe farm road one? Was pretty upsetting. About a mile and a half from my house.

  • No he does tedious investigations and interviews.

  • Just watched The Kitchen. Having lived on the Aylesbury, I get this film and enjoyed it. I do agree with other opinions I've seen though that it would have been amazing for this to have been a TV series to give the characters time to develop. Also Ian Wright is great.

  • Yeah that's the one. Horrible.

  • Did Reacher handle all adversity by being really big by chance?

Predictably, without fail, sometimes with hands handcuffed behind his back

  • In a way tiny tom cruise cannot.

I liked the first, is the author still the writer? Or just a producer?

  • Traitors is hotting up!

  • Finally found a way to Gomorrah again and have started the 2nd session.

Jesus christ, I forgot how fucking dark and depressing it is.

Idk if it's an age thing, but I also really feel for all the innocent bystanders. All those people who are just trying to live their lives and go home at the end of a shift. It's fucking awful.

But if you don't get all sensitive about it, it's a great series.

  • first ep of new True Detective series seems to have slipped into supernatural horror territory a lil bit but was an engaging watch.

Hey, thanks for the heads up, didn't know there's a new season out.
Watched the first two episodes, fucking amazing!

    Fargo S05 spoiler warning..

..oh man, there was a lot of great things about that series, but on the whole it was kinda "meh" in my opinion, it did loose the magic and authenticity / uniqueness of the earlier seasons.
Felt a bit like "fast food" TV to me. Have watched some of the earlier seasons a second time, won't happen with this one I'm sure.

Seing True Detective now in comparison feels like it's on another level completely, super curious as to how this will unfold..
