I once purchased a wheel on holiday as I knocked one of my end caps off putting my wheel in the car. End caps weren’t available next day, so to avoid ruining my holiday a wheel which included end caps appeared logical. I used said end caps for the week, ordered them separately and then replaced them shipping the wheel back just shy of a year later when I sold the bike and had zero use for a spare. Yolo.
