That looks good. I've got one of the official switch wired controllers as the cheapest thing to play 2 player Smash Bros, it's decent but I'd much prefer another wireless one.

I’ve gone down that route and can say it’s worth it.

Snuck in the top 20 on the daily climb, mainly because 3 copies of an innate card that does damage equal to your draw pile of over 100 cards is a little over powered.

FYI Dredge has a 'good' and a 'bad' ending.
Thanks to the guys that suggested Dredge! I've spent many an hour playing it. The music is fucking annoying though. Felt it melting my brain until finally I turned it off.
Also now gone and got the dlc.
Also, WUT?? There's 2 endings?? How??

I think I’ve had to delete that game three times now on my phone. It’s too good.

I’ve got hooked on GDQ again for the first time in a few years. Always makes me want to get into speedrunning something then I realise I’m far too casual to ever commit.
Maybe I’ve reached the point of my life to enter the Excel esports/speedrunning community instead. -

I'd no idea this was a thing even being made but saw it this morning and kind of excited for it. I loved Emperor's Tomb as a kid so if it can bring that kind of joy to me I'd be happy.

I wonder how much Denholm Elliott's estate get for his likeness and how they're doing the voice.

I'm still running through adding some PS1/DC games to my laptop (it's amazing how your memory plays tricks on how good those games were to play, Ridge Racer Type 4 is still an absolute joy though!). On the fence about picking up the newly released Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, as apparently they're pretty capable when it comes to PS2/GC emulation. That'd be a nice thing to have in the pocket!

Everytime the handheld emulators pop up I fall down a rabbit hole and today came across this:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1irg60f9qsZOkhp0cwOU7Cy4rJQeyusEUzTNQzhoTYTU/edit#gid=0
When I realise I'm looking at something that costs at least £1000 to play old games I quickly snap out of it.

I'm trying to avoid buying the new Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, and this has not helped.
My current setup is just using OpenEmu on a laptop with all my roms on an external SSD (works as prep for getting all the roms I want to dump onto a card for a standalone device if I go that route).

Yeah there's some really cool stuff on there but I would purely have it to use when travelling probably so absolutely no need for it and will forget about it all for a few more months. Will stick with OpenEmu and Dolphin for the occasional games I decide to look back at.

I experienced this last weekend. Was gobsmacked. Did a short star wars thing.
Thought I'd like one.
Can you play Alyx? The half life game on it. If do. Dibs -

Yes. Any game playable on SteamVR can be played on the Meta Quest headsets. It's more a question of how good your PC is, because PCVR games ask more of your CPU and GPU than flat screen games.
The Quest 2 is in several aspects technically inferior to the Valve Index that HL:A was designed to show off, but it has a higher resolution (which puts more demands on your PC) and it also has a large library of games available that don't need a PC. Those games don't have the same scale and rich graphics of AAA PCVR games - the built-in computer in the Q2 headset is on a par with a good Android tablet - but gameplay often trumps graphics and there are just more of them. Also, the standalone games don't need a cable tethering you to a PC.
To play HL:A or other PCVR games on the Quest 2, you either need a good quality USB C cable or a solid home wifi network (Wifi 5 tolerable, 6e preferable).
Not a Meta Quest fanboy, by the way - PCVR nerd. But I've used Quest gear and it does the job.
We just want a second controller. Son wants to play untitled goose with his mum/dad.
