I've been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 for the last few weeks and have been enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.
I have started to feel the drain now though and am just trying to force myself to focus on the story missions as I'm only about 50% through so far I think. I always seem to be riding to a story start point but then get distracted by some small random encounter that ends up taking me somewhere else, or taking myself to see things that I noticed early in the game to see how they've progressed, like the logging camp and stuff. I imagine I've missed quite a lot of stuff in the world as well.
Kind of just want to get it finished now though so I can pick up some of the stuff I've been adding to my play later list on game pass.
I remember having a similar experience with RDR2. By the time I decided to just pursue the story cause it was grating on me a bit there was still A LOT of story left. In fairness, I think the story only gets better as it goes on.
Yeah I'm actually interested in the story so far and it's keeping me going, decided early on to just not bother with the challenges but the amount of times I've found myself just wandering around the camps doing chores feels silly.
