My theory is that the 2024 Jayco kit is so shockingly awful that it gave their riders the extra motivation needed to earn the right of not having to wear the normal team kit for the rest of the year.
Jayco to have the most national champs in one team this year.
You heard it here first. -

The blokes kit isn't too bad. Not a fan of the women's with the LIV colour

I just saw that Nacer Bouhanni retired. To be fair though, I wasn't aware that he hadn't retired a few years ago so not sure whether I'm surprised or not.

I can't help bit think we should tell the French to chill out with the antidoping stuf for a few years. Give themselves a chance to level the playing field a little.
Get a few wins, maybe a tdf, then start arresting people again.
You have to feel for riders like bouhani and pinot.

ok wow. that's very good

It's probably a very good bike. And there's almost definitely a solid engineering reason to build it like that. Like with the Cervélo S5 however, a seat tube that arches over the rear wheel from the BB up and then continues (almost) vertically toward the seat looks to me like it's made up of two halves of different bikes.

Road cycling aesthetics died a few years ago. Took me a while but I’m into the new look. The more savage the better.

The reason is more for UCI rules, fit and aero than engineering for that particular feature. However, there is some solid engineering in that bike ;)

I don’t think I’d really ever thought about how fast pro road races are but Christ this is quick, especially with the amount of climbing! A big week of riding for me distance wise done in 3hrs!

That’s really not quick by pro standards.
Look at Stage 19 of last year’s Tour (the stage won by Matej Mohoric) to see a really fast stage.

Just looked at a few fast stages in history. 1999 one stage, almost 200k at 31 mph

and a lot of hotel room blood transfusions the night before.

The fact that Jonas Vingegaard rode the 2023 tour at an average speed of 26.161mph blows my mind

Didn't they get booted? Or was that rumour not substantiated?
I haven't watched an Aussie race for yonks, mate. I used to, until they moved the TDU to Sky and I ain't got time for VPNs and shit for bike racing. Now that GCN has gone, and I'm looking to kill off my Tivo, I'll probably miss the euro racing too. No more Cadel faces for you. Praise the lord!
