My partner's dad has very kindly given me his old Brompton which has apparently sat unused in his garage for the past decade:
Since that photo ^ I've taken it to Lunar cycles who have serviced it and put in a rear frame clip and new suspension block. They also said I need to replace the chain and BB which means also replacing the rear wheel and chainset etc etc etc but I'm gonna wait and see if I actually like the brompton life before I commit to that $$$. Would rather work on it myself but I have no idea where to start with all the proprietary parts
Took it for my first brompton+overground commute this morning. Marginally quicker than cycling the whole way on a proper bike, but less cold and less faff, so excellent for days like today.
Anyone know how I can check what version this is? For e.g. checking compatibility of replacement parts etc.
