This is what I would like to see, though perhaps harsh on those in the bottom tiers for a few seasons. Did Rangers lose all their good players in that period? I don't keep up with fitba much.

Not a relegation. Rangers (oldco) has been liquidated. A new company (Sevco) was established which purchased the IP from the oldco administrators and was admitted to the league pronto by the SFL. A switcheroo which saw various shysters fill their boots (including Alistair M McCoist).
The oldco insolvency was triggered by HMRC rather than the SPL, SFL or SFA.

Tend to agree.......now I'm even more curious to see how they treat Manchester City. A Juventus style relegation?
