The UFC now own a majority of the WWE so I'm sure the fantasy world is appealing to them but man, fuck donald trump

Spoilers!
Gutted to see Izzy finally get the win lol. Can’t imagine the relief tho.

No issues here, he's won the fight for most of the time they've shared the stage and now got the decision. Not sure I understand the dislike for Israel as a person but of course I'm biased in the opposite direction as an official fanboiee so it's all good 🤷🏽

Just think he’s a bellend tbh. But again, I’m team Bobby Knuckles for life.
Not sure what you mean about decision, he sparked Pereira out, lol.
-

Yeah decision was the wrong word. His win was decisive, no need for them to fight again, he's the better fighter.
Love for Bobby knuckles here as well, he's also not as good at fighting though.
That being said, Rob talked about being able to win a third fight recently and I'd be happy for them to run it back, they're both great fighters. -

no need for them to fight again
Not sure I understand your logic. It’s 1-1 in mma (and 1-3 if you include kick boxing). Doesn’t matter if you’re winning a fight then get sparked out - it’s still a loss. Pereira remaining dangerous into the championship rounds is one of his main attributes, you can’t discount that lol.
Don’t get me wrong though, I’m not fussed about them fighting time and time again only to hold up the division. -

your logic
Probably not using it as I'm biased. I just think Israel is better and despite the mma record the UFC have used this "cross discipline" storyline to promote the fight during the buildup.
The stoppage in the first MMA bout was questionable. The decision in one of the kickboxing fight was controversial. I think it's done.Actually by that "logic" it could be 2-2 but I'm not sure I want to see that fight again.

Also, don’t get me wrong. I definitely think that Adesanya is the overall better fighter compared to Pereira - it’s just that Pereira had his number (which is something no one else in the division has).

McGregor is still the trashy person he’s always been. Sent an NBA mascot to hospital after taking a marketing skit too far, which was entirely predictable knowing him, given his rep for cocaine, booze and excessive violence. 🤯
Realising now that I lost all interest in UFC during the towards the end of the MacGregor days. WWE style trash-talking, Conor refusing to defend a title like a coward, and Dana White’s shit eating grin lapping up everything Conor did… next.

UFC prelims have been pretty good today

I keep on trying to figure out an excuse to watch ufc. I have a hard time though like probably most people that maybe don't want to go to a trump rally

That said: Prelims you say?

It was great to see one of the most vocal trump supporting fighters, Colby Covington, get a pasting in his last outing
-
• #542
The prelims were great, lots of good grappling/wrestling scrambles.
The only politics chat I noticed was the Afghan fighter supporting Palestine in a post fight interview -

Demetrious Johnson retires
Good decision, One looks like it'll be bankrupt by the end of the year any way.
Liam Harrison also retired
So happy that venture capitalist money gave Liam some fat pay days before they go bust.

Big hill for the Hitman to climb but AFAIK he represented himself well before, during and after the fight. "His body should be donated to science" comment about Seksan made me chuckle.
Great fighter, paved the way for UK Muay Thai. Less keen on Haggerty but a shame that fight didn't get going.
It's been a minute.
Jon Jones is fighting this weekend.
He has obviously stayed out of the usually mma media spaces for a while, but his ufc promotional stuff is already reminding me that I don't like him.
