Yeah, that kind of thing, although a bit cheaper would be better. We'd be looking at ~£300 insurance, £210 for parking permit so I'd rather keep the total outlay below £1500.
Also MOT due in March is a concern.
In July 2022 when I took my old Saxo for its MOT (at a Citroen dealer) they told me it had passed but wouldn't pass again in Jul 2023. I asked the dealer what to do with it and they advised me to sell it privately with about 3 months left on the MOT, even though they knew categorically that it would never pass another MOT. I could never be that much of a cunt so I scrapped it.
OK, doing the numbers on our Uber/Zipcar usage and we're considering getting a cheap car again. This is coupled with the fact that we've had a few problems with Zipcars recently (previous people being late, app not working properly, availability problems).
Needs to last at least a year, ideally it would last a few more than that.
Must be ULEZ compliant.
Needs to carry 3 people plus bulky luggage so something more than a Fiat 500.
Other than it's pretty open.
Last one was a 2001 Citroen Saxo 1.1 that wasn't going to pass another MOT due to chassis corrosion, so it really doesn't have to be anything special.
Is the London banger market up in the air because of lots of people needing cheap ULEZ compliant replacements?
Or, anyone got anything suitable under £1k?
