Thank fuck that someone had the presence of mind during COVID to make sure that the Houses of Parliament wine investment wasn’t negatively impacted, if it had been the Tax Payers Alliance would have been livid.
I guess that with everything going on, not considering the optics is understandable

27k within year the countries annual spend, this will be a small aspect of someones job for ensuring stores are there for entertaining dignitaries.

Isn't it parliament not government?
27 grand isn't a lot in the scheme of things and some of that will be investment wine as the parliamentary cellar is supposed to be self funding through investments and divestments.
