I currently have standard aluminium rims with 28c tyres squeezed onto my road bike. It's very tight but it does ok when theres no mud involved.
My question is would '28mm External Width / 21mm Internal Width' carbon rims increase the width and height of the tyre or by some luck would they actually make a more uniform shaped profile, i.e., not balloon off the rim and miraculously fit in my frame and forks?
