Best of luck.
I think it will fly with the Fratello hype.

hopefully I’ll get to design a dive bezel insert.

Cheers. I hope so, hard to tell with the market cooling off and the relatively high price for a "microbrand", but I think it's going to be objectively a very nice watch, especially the finishing and the bracelet.

Happy Friday. Haven't worn anything else since replacing the battery

I'll keep you in mind. :)
Though I suspect it's going to be driven by the aesthetics of "classic" divers more than anything…

The Royal Oak bummed at the International Watch Fair BITD. Look at it now....

Problem is, if he doesn't sell out the 300 unit preorder the whole thing is a bust!

They gonna be like £3k?

€3000 including tax, in the Netherlands at least, so yeah, in the ballpark of £3k.

Wow that was a good guess. I think it's looking great.

Well I think this will be a great test of the watch market going in at mid range.
I think hype will convince the bourgeois of an investment not to be missed...
It will also highlight how unbalanced this World is. 😁

Cheers. I'm sure he could have brought it in at 1500 if he'd used a generic bracelet and hadn't wanted certain specs like the level of finishing he's gone for, the faceted hands, the domed sapphire, the COSC certification and the water resistance. The custom bracelet is a big, big cost but I think it's the main thing that will elevate it massively.

Don't mind this at all, though not sure Id spend 995 on it. I quite fancy a unimatic though.

Lucky 13. Very proud of this latest purchase, love how it's not bulk but still badass. Strap is amazingly comfortable but needs a link removed (which I fear might be a bit less easy than other designs). Will have a go tomorrow.
*edit, still need to change the date obviously.

Nice one glad you got something nice. Ejay sorted me out for my wife's birthday watch last year too.

Any recommendations to get a vintage watch serviced (I'm thinking oiling and regulation of timekeeping) in London? Hand winding, been lying in a drawer mostly but haven't serviced it since I bought it off the 'bay and figure I should do for good measure. Not an expensive watch by any means but is pretty niche and well made so ideally someone who knows what they are doing!

I've used Sean before, got a very old watch going again and I think the cost was reasonable. About as central as you can get in London so convenient

Don’t try to do that link removal yourself. Needs a special tool. You’ll bugger it. Tag stockist. That’s the old s/el not the Link .

@hang_on_voltaire recommended The Watch Guy to me who did a fantastic job - even provided pics of the process.

Retro cool!
Cheers! If the first watch is a success I think the next model would be a diver so hopefully I’ll get to design a dive bezel insert.
Would definitely like to do a classic Rolex-style date wheel with those numerals, but don’t know if that’ll happen!
