  • Personally, I would do the easy option first and live with it for a bit. Loads of things you think will piss you off in a house are actually fine once you get used to it.

    If you like it then you'll save your self a load of money and hassle refitting a whole kitchen and if you don't it's a relatively inexpensive way to find out.

  • yeah i think i'll start there, we already have an old freestanding fridge freezer in the garage so step one is definitely..

    1. cutdown worktop on bottom left
    2. move 40cm cabinet in one to replace the existing 60cm undercounter fridge
    3. move freestanding fridge into bottom left corner

    will work with that.

    We've been in the place for ~3 years so we have a fair idea of what we want, but doing it in stages makes sense.
