Yes definitely. We have been a bit ill all of us since arriving. I have a chest infection but have been huffing on my son's inhaler so feeling better.
As I said I only did 15 today but hoping for double tomorrow. -

Bike looks ace built up and that riding looks lush.
A couple of thoughts about the bolt on rear triangle:
Do you have any kind of bolt retention to stop them rattling out? I know you are probably checking them often, but I can imagine on a longer ride, or given to someone with fewer mechanical inclinations they might eventually work themselves loose.
On a similar theme, is the bolted interface pure steel? Do you think some kind of replaceable IGUS or DU bushing could help with alignment and wear of the surfaces over time?
Have you thought about taking some aluminium hardware from a suspension bike instead of using a big steel bolt on the chainstay? -

Yes this is very much "Bolt that sucker on approach"!
I did not want loose hardware but maybe that is a better idea for the reasons stated. In terms of retention we will see if that becomes an issue. A longer bolt and a nyloc could sort that as a quick fix but obviously if it need to become an actual product I need something bullit proof.

I am testing this stuff out and I am prepared to fix anything that might not be working.

I feel like this could be a good application for a nord-lock washer. I haven't yet found a reason to use them but they certainly seem like a very good solution to repeatable and reliable bolt retention where weight isn't a huge concern.

How’s the whole foldy thing working out in terms of ride quality? Is there any noticeable flex or anything?

Beautiful biek!
What's the story with the seatpost? Customised anodised or coated Thomson? Seem to be able to make out some vague logo-ing. -

nord-lock washer
excellent shout. Weight is of no concern right now

Nope. Would be interesting to test a regular AWOL side by side. But no I can't feel anything

Special edition Thomson from a while back. I swapped it for a frame repair

you and chris froome are only people I know (of) that use Quadlock on bike
-
• #8491
Why would you use anything else?

I was literally thinking Nord lock would be good here!
They aren’t heavy :). They are expensive asf tho (for legit ones)

+1 for NordLock
Had a good conversation with their guys at a trade show several years ago.
Was just sorting stuff out and found the dozen 4mm (internal) diameter they sent foc for use on qr skewers. Must get round to using them. -

Flawless bike. Congrats.

Thank you ;-)
Definitely not flawless. Chainring bolts came lose today. One was overtightened and doesn't work anymore and the others require a tool to preventing them from creaking. Alway test bike before bringing them on vacation!
Luckily it WAS mostly walking today

I still have the mounts but since finding stick-on Garmin 1/4 turn mounts I have less use for the Quadlock bits and pieces.

What are the bolts in top of the fork for? Style or function, ie. you're storing whisky in the fork legs?
Amazing. Are you enjoying yourself? Those skies are so blue.
