It's probably a very good bike. And there's almost definitely a solid engineering reason to build it like that. Like with the Cervélo S5 however, a seat tube that arches over the rear wheel from the BB up and then continues (almost) vertically toward the seat looks to me like it's made up of two halves of different bikes.
The reason is more for UCI rules, fit and aero than engineering for that particular feature. However, there is some solid engineering in that bike ;)
