  • Retrieved an old spare TV from the loft and it's missing the screws/bolts to attach the base/stand to the unit. Are these a universal size/thread?

It's a ~7 year old Samsung. Does anyone have any appropriate spares?

  • Do you have the model number? If so, Google should turn you up what screws you need to use. They're not universal, but should be standard sizes that you could buy from anywhere, or use any that you already happen to have lying around.

  • M5/M6 (that's the diameter in mm) is pretty typical for that sort of thing. Should be easy enough to check by measuring the holes in the stand.

Lengthwise won't need to be too specific. Try measuring the depth of the holes in the TV and add the thickness of the stand, then knock off a couple of mm to make sure you can tighten them properly.
