I don't think that would prevent corruption though. The only way to stop MPs from doing corrupt things for their own benefit is to prevent them from earning money* before, during and for some time after their service.
* or any kind of non-monetary benefit like a such as a holiday in St Vincent and the Grenadines
Make it like national service and press-gang a sizeable collection of random established professionals in relevant fields to make the decisions for a year or two each, shirley?
I cant see any situation where the majority of people who actually want to be MPs aren't in it for their own benefit
