He likes certain Panerai. He and I like a lot of the same watches but I have to say, I still don't get the Panerai thing.

That looks great. What colour are you going for?

Not decided yet, I’m waiting to see the physical samples. Leaning towards the green, I think because in the mock-ups the contrast of the subdial is a little strong for me on the other two. But photos could completely change my mind.

Someone started chat recently on Breitling taking up Universal Geneve. Interesting video here. These guys are getting a bit giddy about what might be to come. Interested to see how they do play this one.

Breitling need some style points so...

Pretty sure UG were more at the Patek than Rolex level in the day.
I can only see their watches starting at a price Breitling are unable to achieve so will admire from afar failing a lottery win.

Is this the version with the different case back?

Missing my SeaQ currently as it’s at the service centre waiting for a new strap
No idea why manufacturers do this now, guess to keep control. But the watch had to be sent to them or find a dealer (non are local) to get the rubber strap in and have it fitted. Wouldn’t just send it to me

Surprised it’s not selling, I thought it’s much more fun than the MoonSwatch.

Lange apparently don't honour their warranty if the watch has been put on a non-Lange strap. Maybe GO are imitating them… wouldn't be the first time, lol, sick burn etc
I assume it's because they think there's a risk of the watch falling off the wrist (and smashing to pieces) if the buckle or spring bars are poor quality.

I'm joking really, I don't know if it's not selling. It might be selling bucketloads. But a lot of people were asking for a black or grey one at launch and it did seem a bit of an oversight.

It is .

Chap at work got that before Christmas, but he wasn't sure how long it might stay, as he is already looking at a Speedy sandwich.
Did say that his local AD has a 2nd Seadweller for under list currently!

I don't think it has sold like the Moonwatch but they might now feel that they need some more of an income from this collab.

The warranty for a GO is only 2 years which seems a little crazy in this day and age, so already out of warranty.
-
• #75822
Generally, the higher up you go in the watch "hierarchy" the worse the warranty gets. AP only just went from 2 years to 5 years, same with Girard-Perregaux. Vacheron, Cartier and Breguet are all 2 years. Even Lange are still 2 years, unless you buy directly from one of their own boutiques, in which case it's 3 years.
-
• #75823
Ahh didn't know that, assumed it would be 3 but now 5 for all..
-
• #75824
At the risk of ending up in the golf club thread, it's one of the reasons why Rolex / Tudor are still an appealing choice for many people, especially for their first expensive watch. Five-year warranties and (in the case of Rolex) ten-year service intervals.
