Is it just me that get's so pleased with themself about getting layering for the commute just right?

When temp hovers around zero my bike stays at home. Have come off on black ice too many times and am too old for that shit now!

Haha no, I know the feeling. I'm still astounded by the number of otherwise kitted up people who aren't wearing gloves at around 0° though. Mad.

Id rather slide on my arse for 12 miles than get the train though

and there's always that guy in shorts even though it's sleeting

Sorry that was me at 05.15 today.

i'm usually the first into / last out of shorts guy in my office, but even i have my limits

TBH it wasn’t the brightest move.

Hope you are ok. That is why I said up there that it ain't worth riding in this weather, particularly if your commute is on any untreated surfaces (like most of mine is).

Anyone know of anyone who had a spill halfway down Putney Hill in early/mid December 2023? I remember seeing an ambulance at one point as I went past in a car but have no recollection of exactly when it was.

There's been a grey/silver fixed, straight black forks, red bar tape locked up at the scene for weeks now.

(Seems I took a photo of it on 15th Dec so it's been there coming up a month. Will try and upload the photo tomorrow.)

I'm all good. Bent the hanger on my vitus cx bike though which is annoying.
