  • Anyone else used Finish Line's KryTech Ceramix Wax? I bought it thinking it would be like the gold bottle, the milky stuff I've used for years, but it's REALLY thin and just pisses out of the bottle everywhere. I can't tell if it's coating any chain parts or not.

  • I've recently started a business (One Ride Cycling) importing and selling Momum. Their MIC Wax impressed me so much when I tested it last year that I decided to fulfil the dream of having my own business, so I left my job in engineering to sell across the UK.

The MIC Wax is a drip lube, easy to apply and super clean and smooth running. The added ceramic particles definitely improves the product over other wax lubes. Some have compared it to Squirt but longer lasting and generally better at protecting your chain in wet and dirty conditions.

  • Your title and Momum is not found by search engines

  • https://www.momum.cc/ Spanish product that they're importing? https://oneridecycling.co.uk/
(I use duckduckgo so don't really care about their SEO for Google :))

  • I know, something I'm working on and regularly pull my hair out over. Something to do with new websites after Googles November update (at least that's what I'm told). Help welcomed on this.

    Cheers

  • Bought some of your lube, tried it out on a ride today. Initial impression is very good, feels like a wax-dipped chain.

Will see how it fares in terms of longevity.

  • Yeah, I have not in the last year though.

Only use Prolink these days. In the last 2 years I've only cleaned 1 chain.

  • Where do we find your Prolink affiliate link?

Doesn't touch rubbing the inside of banana peel on a chain IMHO

  • I was telling someone about that the other day!

  • Been using Fenwicks Professional recently - doesn't seem to create a black gunky mess like most wet lubes, and easier to clean (usually a quick brush/ wipe). Probably needs reapplying more often. Seems to have some the advantages of Squirt but without the disadvantages.

  • Thread dredge.

What's a good wet/all conditions chain lube these days?

I'm getting to the end of my bottle of Purple Extreme and it seems very difficult to get hold of now.

I am not interested in going down the waxing route. I'd also like to avoid bio oils a'la sticky Muc Off shite.

Any opinions on Rock N Roll?

  • I still use the same shit I have since it came out, that Ceramic Finish Line stuff. In worse weather I reapply more often.

  • I had a bottle of that and seem to remember it going funny, like all the ceramic shit congealed at the bottom and I couldn't get it blended again. Possibly because it gets stored in my cold AF garage?

  • Morgan Blue. I've been using the dry one all year round, amazing in summer and surprisingly resilient in winter, even on my MTB which gets caked

  • i've been using 3 in 1 oil on all my bikes for the last 45 years of cycling. hasn't let me down yet.

  • You've got to shake it to wake it

Mine is also stored inside the house and I do go through chain lube faster than norms go through tap water.
