I've been wanting to start a build or conversion for ages too. Looked at kits last year but the budget didn't stretch to the ones I was jonesing for.
Started listening to this podcast last year which can be great -although it seems to be into diminishing returns now. There's only so many times the same guy can recommend buying a Variac and powering things up slowly...
