Glynis Johns, the mother (Mrs banks) of the Mary Poppins children.
Always used to watch this with my mum at Christmas. No idea why as it wasn't a Christmas film.

Walking to the pub after work about 5 years ago, saw a crowd in a side street then David Soul appeared. We were Starsky fans growing up but it was still a fun moment.

I used to see him fairly often in The Feathers in Linhope St. He apparently lived in the area. I bought him a pint once.

Just found out he died from a brain haemorrhage, so pretty quick...

Der Kaiser, Franz Beckenbauer
Surely one of the greatest to play and coach.
(reputation dented somewhat recently though)

Another sporting legend, Wales ace JPR Williams (74) part of that legendary Wales side of the 1970’s. Star of Barbarian and British Lions sides.

There aren’t many people who are good enough in their field of endeavour that people know who they are just by their initials. RIP JPR

Annie Nightingale :(

Absolute legend, she pushed the breaks scene so hard in the early 2000's, her show was un missable for me back then.
I interviewed her about 15 years ago at the big chill festival, she smoked the biggest spliff whilst we were setting up and was completely boxed by the time we started. It was an absolute disaster of an interview but half an hour later she played a banger of a set.
What a life, absolute pioneer.
