I was happy to see the Saints play their first decent game of the season but was upset it was at the expense of Tommy Cutlets, the best sports story since Linsanity.

Mike Tomlin appreciation post. A very good performance by a very makeshift offense. Steelers haven't finished last in their division since the late 1980s.
The Bengals are 0-5 in their division.

Also. If you have not seen the Chargers hype video for Cameron Dicker's pro-bowl campaign, you are missing out.

Yeah the fans getting antsy about a Super Bowl winning coach who hasn’t had a losing season in 15+ years, feels a bit excessive. And you feel if he was available there would be a bidding war for his services at an equivalent level to what may happen to belichick if he gets the boot from New England …

Nothing worse than not being able to watch the first couple of hours of redzone, because you’re with the in laws at Christmas, eating lasagne for dinner!

Lions with two 4th and shorts in this got to have it drive. Down 21-17. Get both of them, score the touchdown and then miss the point after.
Not sure how this game is so close when the lions just need to get the win to win the nfc north.. -

Also also, how weird it sounds to know that all the browns needed to do to fully unlock amari cooper was drag Joe flacco off his mums sofa!

The chiefs all over the shop trailing the raiders by 10, middle of the third quarter. Raiders defense is getting pressure on mahomes and they can’t seem to get anything going, despite the touchdown..
Could they miss out on the playoffs? -

Raiders put a beating on the chiefs.
Who wins that division now?
Chiefs on the road in the playoffs? -

The ravens dominating the 49ers blows the mvp race wide open, Lamar’s to lose now you’d think.
Also ravens look super dangerous, can see them rolling over pretty much everyone in the league! Maybe they come up against an in form bills team, but not sure who in the nfc can take them on if they reach the Super Bowl.
Diverse offense, finally with some decent receivers and with the constant threat of Lamar running the ball. A dominant defense that just smothers you, feels like ingredients for a Super Bowl team to me.. -

I don’t particularly like them or rate them but I’ve had a feeling about the Browns for a few weeks now, they keep pulling victories from the jaws of defeat and Flaco seems to be getting hot at the right time.
Ravens do look solid though, and of course everyone was raving about the 49ers before last night and you don’t become a bad team because of one game.

I’m enjoying the flacco renaissance and am rooting for the browns to at least get to the playoffs, but not sure how flacco and that offensive line will deal with that ravens defensive pressure. But a ravens browns playoff game would be immense, lots of bad blood there… know the playoff picture and seedings is still murky, but @Aroogah if the chips fall right, would the browns ravens match up be in the divisional championship round or the conference championship round…
Also around the nfl mentioned the possibility of the goff bowl, rams vs lions which would also be immense, especially as I think the lions have enough to get the win over the rams..

I think it would be in the round based on current rankings. If they Browns beat the Jags (current match u) they would most likely face the Ravens as the lowest ranking team while other higher seeded teams win (Chiefs and Dolphins) and play each other.
Results could change that. (i.e.: Chiefs lose the Bills). Lotsa moving parts.

Bronco’s bench Russell Wilson for the final two games of the season. Stidham to take over. Not sure where russ goes from here..
-
• #1921
The Patriots according to some thinking. I think Pittsburgh would be a better landing spot.
-

Or the Raiders. Wilson is Garoppolo-esque. Makes sense. Also, plays the Broncos 2x per year.

Just watched the brown’s takeout the jets highlights. My gosh, the browns look good against that jets defence, which while not elite like it looked the first 4-5 weeks, is still good and the browns shredded them. Njoku looking like the tight end they’d hoped he’d be, despite the fumble, flacco throwing darts and bombs and players other than amari cooper being on the end of them, ground game getting chunks of yardage with jerome ford breaking tackles, and a defence which will stifle most offences.
Not sure anyone in the afc is going to want to face them in the playoffs. Adding full YOLO flacco has been the making of this team..

Just watched the lions almost walk off with the win on the two point conversion, then be denied by a referee’s flag!
Despite not converting the next two attempts, it still feels like they’ve been cheated out of a statement win. Seems there’s some disagreement about whether the lineman reported as an eligible receiver, or not.
Whatever, I’m pretty invested in this team, and wanting them to get that playoff win at home and then show how dangerous they could be in the rest of the playoffs. Currently looking like they’ll have the rams in the first round, which is a mighty tricky matchup -

We. Are. In. The. Fucking. Playoffs. By beating the Colts on the road!?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VO_Y3lQ4ewE
Fuck. Tennessee might even beat the Jags (which would be very Jags) and hand us the division.
Also. More love for Tomlin and his coaching after the Steelers win. The Standard is the still the Standard.
Bills putting the boot into the cowboys in this first half, showing that despite the losses earlier in the season, that put them behind the eight ball and has made it that they probably have to win out to get into the playoffs, they are a dangerously good team.
Making the cowboys look ordinary.
