You can do it after you've been tackled or laid the ball off or even if you're not the man with the ball. If you roll around long enough they'll stop the match and give it a check (although if you're at the match you'll have no idea why).

I think football is getting towards losing a lot of its traditional fans in the premier league. VAR, the diving, feigning injury after a bit of contact, making it harder and harder to tackle, faking head injuries. It all adds up to a match day experience that's less and less enjoyable.

Some people are giving up season tickets due to VAR stoppages at games.
