Have we covered how disappointing the new (final) series of Archer is? Mostly due to a supremely irritating and unnecessary new character who's great at everything and has no character flaws/weaknesses/personality.

I think it tailed off a few seasons back.

It tailed off quite a lot of seasons back, but the last few had got a bit better as they started being a spy agency again. This series has just plummeted off a cliff.

Yeah, I think I've had 3 left to watch for weeks and haven't bothered.

The books are great too.

Traitors S2, thankfully good again, so far.

Jesus. Fargo. Just watch S5E8. Amazing, but fuuuuck.
Can't wait for next week's.

I just started watching the "new" Reacher. I was very happy with myself recognising the Easter egg of Sarah Connor

I watched the life drain out of my partners eyes as i proudly pointed that one out.
Was a big fan of series one but not loving series 2 so far. Great to see Herc again though.

Ha same. Initially I thought it was an extreme Sopranos-esque ending. I was equally relieved and annoyed that there’s a couple more episodes to wait for. Really loving this series. Does the next one come out tonight?
Been watching Mr Bates vs The Post Office. Pretty good. I picked up a book about it all - The Great Post Office Scandal - in a charity shop a couple of years ago that it’s inspiring me to get around to finally reading.

Fargo? Seems to hit Prime at midnight Tuesday's (ie Wednesday morning).
It airs prime time Tuesday nights in the US.

Yep. Nice one 👍

I know what you mean. I've just watched episode 4 and it hasn't grabbed me yet but I'm only half way through so we'll see.

I binge-read them a couple of years ago and they really are fun. I thought they were starting to get a bit lazy in the latest ones, the way a series can (characters effortlessly getting things done that they spent a whole book struggling with earlier on, TV-soap level plot twists) but a) not too much and b) the TV series is way behind the book series. Also c) I think the TV show's budget keeps it grounded.

I'm 10 minutes in and remembering this shit being all over the place. It's madness on reflection.

I loved reservation dogs on Disney. First episode the characters felt too exaggerated but I was soon rooting for them all.

I wanted to love it as I loved the rest. The last season ending was perfect. I'm trying not to give spoilers.
I liked the space 1999, Island one and liked the story arc over a season and not 20 minutes.
Also the Charlene rebel country with Kenny logins singing danger zone was hilarious.
But yeah final season does feel like ending on a bang more whimper.

Dipping my toe in loudermilk on Netflix
I ditched it after the first scene, but my brother advised me to stick it out…it’s ok mellow funniness. I’m a bit weary of grumpy middle aged white guy trope and feel personally outed by the Gen X music references -

I’m trying to get into it because I don’t want to be told I’m having a case of the Mondays.

I loved it because of the first scene. My wife hated it so it’s become something I watch when I can
Apple TV - on the rocks, loving this film.

Anything else worthwhile watching on Apple TV now I've rinsed Slow Horses? I've done Severance, Bad Sisters, Silo and Blackbird.

Enjoying S2 of the Traitors. Much more animosity this time round though. A bit less vapid analysis, but still loads of psudo logic.

Platonic is a nice character thing.
High desert is sunny and surreal
The Afterparty is great fun.
The Godzilla series is enjoyable, although the writing is a bit clunky.
Boys state is definitely worth it.All worth a go?

Enjoyed the 1st and 2nd is great.
Absolutely, the dialogue is great, acted well, but the premise and death count is crackers
