my winter northwave booties are like this. cleat is just slightly too far back for my liking. dont want to buy some weird plate to adjust them but thinking about modifying the shoe/cleat slightly.... hopefully without resulting in subsequent injury

Obviously they came out alright?! I had to Dremel a slot in some recently, to use a flat head bit with an impact driver to remove them. They'd worn down/filled with crap/rusted in place a bit and weren't coming off easily.

Wow, that's way full on!! These were super easy in comparison. Only one screw was an issue. The metal around the hex hole had rolled in, so had to use a needle file to widen the hole. There were then sparks breaking the seized screw, which was exciting
