The purple boarder bits are definitely cemented in. The main bit of the entrance path probably is.
But mainly I don't want to fuck it up.

I think my main challenge is finding the correct cable. I'm guessing Weather proof 16 SWG cable. And if it's 3 core just ignore the earth.

This is the flood defence house I think

Looks like it. Right next to a (former) ferry landing stage!

Beware all your services. Gas elec, water, phone and waste.

Perhaps a stupid question, but the could the bike not just be parked in the bottom right corner of the picture, thus keeping footpaths etc. clear, and allowing a cable to be tucked in to the edge of the flowerbed and pop out exactly where it's needed?

I wouldn't think there is much pressure unless you're getting a strong flow. If it's still it'll be very low.
If the house is only 70m from the literal river Severn, then there could be a bit of flow!

Do you know how deep the concrete is? Dig a hole next to it and see if you can just run it under

Beware all your services. Gas elec, water, phone and waste.
I had thought about this. I need to see if I can look at my OH's photos of the work as I don't have any. Most of the services come in on the left hand side. Water is under the black plant pot then down to the left.

Good idea, but unfortunately what you can't see from the pic is how steep it is, which means it would have to live on its side stand.
I may still test it out tho...

Current plan is to dig a hole in each of the beds on either side of the path, then use a long sds drill bit to make a hole to run the cable through, or possibly some small conduit then the cable through that.
God looking at these photos makes me long for the spring so I can replant the beds.

I'm completely not getting what doing this actually does but I like a challenge and had an idea.. grind a channel through the brick path , house the cable and lay it in cover with cement mixed with not much more than water, re-score the brick lines.

Ha!
Currently I have an extension cable on a real running round the side of my house, across the porch up to and under my motorcycle.
Into the extention cable is a £60 device about the size of a shoe that manages the battery:
Currently the extention cable runs as the blue line.

I'd like a battery management specific extension cable to run like the green line.
The paving cannot be fucked up or damaged on pain of death.

I mean you could get it moled but that's likely expensive and usually used for things like running a new water main under a house slab.

I guess another option would be to get one of those dry boxes and hide it in the massive star jasmine bush and padlock it. Then neatly coil up the cable and bring it out as required. That way it would be in a dry box under the eves, and less obvious to steal and free up the extention cable again.
It would also be more likely to get sign-off.

Forget about a drill. The substrate will just fall back in the hole. Get a long cold chisel or a short fencing bar, dig a hole each side of the path and just bang it through. TBH digging a hole each side, until the ground is softish and a little bit of tunnelling with your hands will probably be good enough anyway.

Could you get an auger and attach it to a universal joint of some kind?
Even one of these which is designed for wood drilling might do if a 25mm hole would suffice? https://www.screwfix.com/p/bosch-spur-auger-drill-bit-with-hex-shank-25mm-x-160mm/517fw

Lots of YouTube videos for tunneling under paths (sidewalks, rather).
Dig small channels either side, and dig a tunnel with a wrecking bar. Push a 42mm waste pipe through it.

As I did the back first, for the long rout I used one of the other pieces of ply, and for all the others I clamped a long spirit level.
@JonoMarshall Yep - using a band clamp https://www.screwfix.com/p/band-clamp-4m/1024V

Also team no drill. Seems like asking for trouble regarding lines, and don't really see how it helps.
Just pretend you're escaping from prison! -

I've got a ctek battery thing that can be left attached to the battery to keep it conditioned that doesn't seem to need a fancy cable

I'm team drill. No idea if it will work or not but power tools always make DIY more exciting.
Drill through, tape your conduit to the bit and pull back through.

You’ve started something now! Liz did a sketch…
So we need 4,500mm of bookcase at 2,100mm tall with 6 shelves of 300mm in each bay. Plus a draw in the bottom cubby. Plus a top.
So that’s 78 shelves, 15 draws.
Why did I show Liz this? Oh and she also ‘likes’ the birch ply best. Oh dear gawd! -

Better sell a kidney then.
If the pavers are laid dry on sand or whatever why not just lift and re-lay them?
