Its my wife’s bike, she specifically wanted the minimalist ebike setup and we had this in the garage. Personally its great for us (hauling 1 kid or some stuff arround.) wife is in love with it and for context the dealer we got the bike from does all his bullitt conversions with front hubs as he thinks it rides better and feels more like the bike should. We also have a bbs01 on a cargo bike. Also have a long tail with front drive and the fancy bb sensor thing. I really dont get a huge experience difference out of the options. I will say i mostly run them all on like pass1 minimum settings outside of steep stuff. We are in Austria, there are hills and mountains and its all fine. Im considered converting longtail to middrive but im not super psyched on messing with the new bafang canbus stuff but as i have a full setup in a box i may as im a degenerate bike horder and then i can stick the hub setup on something else.
How does the swytch kit fair with a loaded cargo bike?
I’m endlessly internally debating electrifying my Bullitt with either a Bafang BBS02 or hub motor with torque sensing BB. The only thing that puts me off the Bafang is cadence sensing versus torque sensing.
