It's beaucoup lighter. I swapped a couple of mine and you usually lose a couple of pounds, which is a lot for rotating mass. Looks terrific mate - is the K5 swingarm the same length?
Speaking of coatings, I've been looking into home anodising for Ally, and staining it after. Looks like a laugh to experiment with.

Thanks chief. The swingarm is slightly longer to make the bike more stable at higher speeds. Funny enough It's the same length as the Harris ones they used in WSB and BSB in period.
With the back end now sorted I'm starting to concentrate on the front. New tapered headstock bearings went in yesterday and I'll be collecting a vapour blasted bottom yoke today. Couldn't live with those casting marks. I'll post a photo soon when the billet top yoke arrives :D
It's slightly lighter so less friction and unsprung weight. Probably won't ever notice it on the road but was changing chain/sprockets so continuing the theme of tinkering.
