Those are for the caliper, my brakes have a straight fitting. It's the lever end I'm on about. Under the reservoir cover, I believe it's a not quite 90 degree banjo fitting, proprietary.

Ah shit sorry, I should have read the post properly! I see what you mean now.
You can do what you say and cut the rear hose and re-use it.
You could then spend the £31 on the proper hose kit for the rear.
But the cheaper option would be buying the banjo connector for a fiver on aliX and re-use the lever end banjo no?
Edit - I've realised the lever end banjo might be crimped? Is it def crimped or isn't it threaded?

The correct compatible banjo connectors can be bought on AliX
Get a couple meters of cheap hose on alix or amazon and add the alix Banjo.
