Sad times, luckily I’ve only enquired so far so nothing lost. Maybe I’ll stick to alloy for a while longer
-

Probably it wouldn't immediately fail but that's beyond paint and into carbon so it's weakened. I wouldn't buy it.

I'd say it depends on the price and weight, and whether that black layer below the grey is paint or carbon. I'd like to see a better pic.
If the frame is like 900g or less, a bit of a missing layer there might be something you'd miss. But if it's say 1.2kg, it's probably got plenty to spare.

It’s still a 100% no regardless.
We turn down services when we see these damages, we had one that doesn’t look as bad, but when send to be assess by a carbon repairer, it was actually bad enough that it need immediate repair.

Yea when looking at the photo I think it’s gone through 2 sheets of carbon and is a lot wider than I would expect from wheel rub. Out of curiosity do you know ball park what carbon repair costs for this could be? Might be worth talking to the guy about it and negotiating a lower price and get it sorted.

£150-300 give or take, lowest price was from a while ago.
The reason we send it cause we want to make sure it’s not the only damage/defect to warrant such repair.

Been riding a frame, and a fork, that lots of folks would say were 100% no, for at least ten years... $0 carbon is a great deal if it doesn't kill you.

There's what you do yourself, and what you tell other people to do. They're not the same.

Exactly.
The carbon frame can be checked, remember there being a person on another forum getting his on one lurcher frame inspected and repaired https://ruckuscomp.com/news/featured-repair/2019/01/28/on-one-lurcher-seatstay-repair/ gives more details. No link to me just seen mentioned on another forum.

How do I identify if the sram bb in my frame fits bb30 or dub? What would the internal diameters of the bearings be?
-
• #5912
It should be written on the bearing covers. They both use 30mm i.d. bearings, but DUB has a plastic sleeve which takes it down to 29mm.

I don't usual respond to this kind of enquiry, but when I do it's to say I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole

Yep, zooming in on the photo shows what looks like a crack.

Owners that are more interested in red anodising than maintenance.

Is there a way to fit a SRAM eagle crank to pf92 bottom bracket bike frame
-
• #5923
GXP versions will fit with the appropriate BB

Thank you but suspect I would need a new rear hub over a standard Shimano 10.

suspect I would need a new rear hub
The HG splined Eagle 12s cassettes (PG-1210/PG-1230) fit 8/9/10-speed HG freehubs
Write off: either get it repaired or refund.
