Moulin Muirs would be a good one. Takes in some amazing scenery and starts close to Dundee.
One of the (potential) problems with Scottish audaxes is that they often start in smaller towns so getting to them can be tricky.
Lumpy Bannocks tae Spott starts in Edinburgh and looks good as well. I’ve not ridden that route but I’ve done all the roads before and they’re great.
Lucy’s events are all excellent as are Niall’s but they start outside of Edinburgh; The Snow Hare Takes the Scenic Route and Och Hills! for example.
And if by highlands you mean the literal Highlands, then Andy Uttley runs a load from Inverness. To be honest, you can’t go wrong with any of the rides up that way (unless the weathers total crap, of course). The North Coast Classic 600 would be hard to beat for the views.
I’ve not ridden the audax but I’ve done the roads a few times before. I’m hoping TransAlba heads up that way this year as I’d love to get back up there.
