  • With the bike well and truly tucked up for winter I fitted a GSXR 1000 K5 swingarm. Ordinarily it would have been straightforward but being me decided to get the matching rear caliper cerakoted, rebuilt with new seals, stainless pistons, titanium bolts and new EBC HH pads.

I took the opportunity to change to 520 pitch with new chain and sprockets. Whilst getting some bits cerakoted the swingarm pivot bushes were done and fitted titanium pivot nuts. The shock linkage was also vapour blasted, new roller bearings fitted and again posh titanium bolts.

  • It's slightly lighter so less friction and unsprung weight. Probably won't ever notice it on the road but was changing chain/sprockets so continuing the theme of tinkering.
