You have to get used to the shifting. You can't shift under any load (so the polar opposite of the di2). Though love the how smooth the pedaling feels. I think perfect for a tourer/Trekking Bike. Wouldn't use it in any form of sporty riding
Try it out and see how you like it. I think it suits your needs perfectly. A 9 speed would probably be enough and a little cheaper than a 12 or 18 speed.
