• I am running 30/26, which is fairly "though" (for a pinion) I have a walking speed gear (which I have never really used unironically) and a 35kmh+ gear.

    You have to get used to the shifting. You can't shift under any load (so the polar opposite of the di2). Though love the how smooth the pedaling feels. I think perfect for a tourer/Trekking Bike. Wouldn't use it in any form of sporty riding

  • My riding is more dad bike, commute, shopping, occasional weekend away shenanigans.

    Sporty is against my knees interest in moving.

  • Try it out and see how you like it. I think it suits your needs perfectly. A 9 speed would probably be enough and a little cheaper than a 12 or 18 speed.
