Thanks. The castle ship.
It arrived to them in a million pieces though. I haven't heard if they actually managed to build it up.

So cool.
You going on a trip to see it in person?

Of course.
I'm in Copenhagen so not that far. We've already been there twice and the kids seem to enjoy it. -

Congratulations.
I’ve not considered that direction with my designs yet. Might look into it. -

Congratulations. What I don't like about this is that they send a letter in English to a Danish address ...

I spent a couple of weeks working at the Lego head office in Billund a few years back. Interestingly their official corporate language is English. All their systems, comms, etc were in English rather than Danish.

Thanks, that doesn't surprise me. I know that they have loads of Anglophone designers, for instance. They became a major multinational a long time ago. It's just a shame that even when they communicate with people who clearly would know Danish, they don't, and I think they should.

even when they communicate with people who clearly would know Danish, they don't
Given the fairly high proportion of residents who are not of Danish descent and the extremely high proportion who know English, it's not absolutely clear to me that you might not have better odds of being understood if you address a resident of Denmark in English rather than Danish 🙂

Wow, that looks quite a largish 3 in 1 set, looks great.
I spent the morning with nephew making a start on lego city car wash, he's only 4 so didn't make it past bag 1 but first time I've worked on a set with someone so young, really enjoyable.
They've opened an amazon returns shop close to us and they often have opened or damaged box etc sets in there. Picked up one of the starwars helmets for about half price.
Think they might be taking more of my wages during the winter months this year.

Bricklink - ordered mid november from germany, lost in post after 4 days (they shipped on time). Slow to respond when I pointed it was still not with me. They said they had to wait 30 days from that point to raise an issue with courier (wasn't going to be in time for christmas then so i said ok fine). Now saying it'll be another 30 days while they check with courier after which they'll make a decision and I'm feeling like a hard explosion of what fucking planet are you on.
Or am I just the spoilt spawn of convenience culture?

I think that, in this day and age, asking someone to wait 60 days is wholly taking the piss. This kind of shit can be sorted in single figures of days.

wholly taking the piss
^This, but it looks like the courier is the one doing the piss taking. Even our gloriously inept post office gets compensation cheques out in about a week after you tell them they failed to deliver more than 10 working days after the due date.

*Remembers not to ever order from Bricklink*
-
• #1699
I'd say that's isolated.
I've probably done 30 orders from Bricklink and never had an issue. That said they did have a massive problem with hacked accounts and I'm not certain that has been properly resolved . -

Current project for me (37) and mini hammer (4).
Incredible set so far - stopping to play with it after every bag 👌
