Someone I know got given a personalised banksy screen print, just sold at auction and only got 60k.

I recon he thought he was gonna get money for a house, I though it was a bit daft selling it so on but hey ho!

For a print that’s about the limit price wise, depending on that it was. The prices did go a bit nuts in the pandemic.

I’m hoping ours will pay off the mortgage at some point in the future.

There's a picture in the paper of two guys apparently in the process of taking the sign down--in true contemporary style, one of them balances on the handlebars and saddle of an Uber bike propped up against the signpost while his mate holds it. Bolt croppers not easily made out in the picture, but probably in evidence. I say 'apparently' because I have no idea if those two are actually the thieves, or indeed those who have been arrested.

Actually, this picture sequence would appear to be fairly conclusive evidence--done in front of a number of onlookers, too.

was that in Glasgow ? mctears .... they probably take 20% + the taxes on 48K capital gains 42% Scottish tax band = 28K profit not bad but not a house .

Yeah, I think they maybe took less as he had looked to sell it in london and although they said he'd have got more he was gonna lose more in commission.

yeah they tend to take 50% the big auction houses

Seems to be the standard for most gallery's and auction houses now.
