Crossing fingers... :)
Feel like this should be the one though it seems like it's hella wiry. Though ours doesn't have power fold mirrors like the description notes but perhaps can just tape it over and leave loose?

The talk of 'may need coding' puts me out of my depth somewhat.
Might be worth a go for something to do in the new year when work is quiet.

Also if you need part numbers -
Really useful to find the right part numbers then you can set up ebay searches to find the right thing.

Yeah, once I’ve passed the ‘right to reject’ 30 day period I’m going to get it booked in with the local detailer - might even treat myself to a ceramic coat for the first time ever. The tail pipes need a proper sorting out too.
This car feels like a keeper already, loving the general character, drama and the road manner. Firm, but grounded that’s for sure.
Haven’t even achieved full throttle yet! It’s slippy out at the moment, but the PS4s are grippy enough. Roll on summer ☀️ -

Right hive people, if you had the engine out of a noble n70? Less than 100 Nobel's made. Engine based on Mondeo st220 V6, and yeah the xtype V6 made another 20bhp but in the noble 500bhp due to twin turbo no idea if one per bank would you fit said engine to a 4x4 xtype?
Then, as the 4x4 system was marginal at best with power from the original engine..would you remove the broken rear diff so no rear diff or drive shafts. Not sure that the rear subframe wasn't replaced by a Jag xtype rear/maybe Mondeo estate rear.
Then replace the gearbox with an diesel X type 5 speed box as the box is the strongest torque box and common to upgrade tuned focuses and Mondeo's etc?
Well would you?
No not me, some X type person I know recently purchased the car for the engine to go in to another soaceframed car.

Tail pipes would look great in chrome to match the highlights on the wheels...
Enjoy, hoping I can get something similarly fun before they are all taxed to eye watering levels.

I spent today fixing Geoff the mk5 golf. Coming home from the pub last night it threw a fit and spat out its drive belt. Lucky I managed to limp anlong until we were only a mile or so from home. So this morning I stole Liz’s ebasket bike to get the flat battery out and home to charge it. Then took it back on the Brompton to refit it, put the bike in the boot.
The tensioner pulley had seized, dropped the belt which wrapped itself around the idler pulley and pulled it off the bearing and throwing itself behind the crank pulley which is where it stayed.
You need to take the under tray, inner wing protector and the engine top cover (which includes part of the intake and a fair few wires) if you had small hands I think you’d get away without, but.
Who knew a drive belt for a golf would be so hard to find? Oh you’ve got aircon? No zero stock. Or oh yes we have one. No that’s too short, the ac symbol has a cross through it, oh yeah. What size pulley wheels do you need? There are a few different ones? Oh no we don’t have those ones. We got there in the end and Geoff is alive again. Arsebiscuits! -

That first picture doesn't look like dirt to me, that looks like colour dye?
Usually, dirt on the touchpoints comes out as a light grey colour.
Wear points people usually smarter up are bolsters where the leather damages first.

Yeah, I agree it does look very dark. But honestly, the seat and wheel are now matte without any undue effects of the cleaning - perhaps the seat was covered in jean dye.
This stuff I’m using is pretty abrasive ‘Dodo Juice’ I’ll be using something more sympathetic going forward! I did pop some sealer on also.Have just ordered the extra carbon goodies for the interior and an Alcantara arm rest. I look forward to having to explain those deliveries next week!
CarPlay already retrofitted - though the NBTEvo software was too old to get full screen. That’ll be a job over the Xmas period. How it hasn’t been updated in any dealership visits since 2018 I don’t know! Appreciating the fact it’s wireless again though. Plugging it in got annoying in the S3. -

Anyone get early bird tickets for the Drive Tribe event at Haynes next year? It’s only 15 mins away so took a punt. I’ll be taking whatever car I have in June 😂

A couple of people I know are not complimentary of the seller and bit of Googling suggests they aren't alone.
When I had a T5 of the same shape, I found the cost of parts to be significantly higher than I expected, especially used ones. Looks like a tidy car though.

thanks. didn’t even think to google the proprietor- definitely some concerning reviews out there. think I want a nicer colourway, anyway…

There are some stunning cars on that site. In particular the 330i Msport for £6k or te R32 for £10k, and the orange Clio 182. EDIT however I have now also read some of the reviews and various threads..... crikey
