In true fb market place spirit, I travelled 90 min out of my way yesterday for a Chris King headset for the C'nelli.. Gladly the store we decided to meet at in the City (for his convenience) was employed by a bike friend that I had not seen in over a year. We 1st met on group fixed rides im proudly to say probably 10 years ago. He is now a full fledged roadie with a few track bikes.. For the odd alleycat or Fixed group ride.... But I digress. Long story short, the fb seller posted the wrong part set.. Only after my bike friend knocked out the lower cup? Did he find out that it didn't fit. Needless to say I was disappointed.. I have never serviced the headset for the whole lifetime of the build. Just wiped down but never disassembled so it was due for new grease. In doing that he noticed some corrosion inside the frame from being dry fitted when originally built. I'm not impressed and no longer frequent that bike shop for a few years now. So I spent 4 hours before my night shift to get the headset serviced. My faith has been shook. I'm happy to share that an order for njs 51t sg75 gigas chainring was made this weekend.
