Anyone selling an IQ-X or IQ-XS? Not having much luck getting mine working
-

Sks has a kit to drive the cable along the mudguard
Old SKS even had one or two stripes embedded in the mudguard to carry the light connections.

Holy shit! I had no idea 😅
When the tape fails I'll be picking up one of these.

Always interested in nerdy bike stuff. Looks good. Any other pics of/info on the bike?

With my build I went with VO mudguards under the misapprehension that they had a channel for dynamo cable. In the end I did similar to you, except we used a bead of silicone sealant to embed the cable, instead of tape.

I would watch that you tube video

So I think my IQ XS has given up the ghost, admittedly after 6 years spent living outside, and they appeared to have doubled in price...
Would still be cheap from Rose but they don't sell to the UK. Any other cheap sellers?

Order from bike24 or bikecomponents.de sure one of them delivered to uk last time I checked. If you’re in London I’d join you on an order

I'm in a similar position and in Manchester. Tempted to ask a German friend if I can have one delivered (from Bike-discount.de) to his family home and he bring it back for me when he goes back for a holiday next month

Does anyone still use a bottle dynamo? Toying with the idea of a cheap upgrade on my partners commuter.
It’s only a short ride to her studio, mostly along a towpath so decent illumination would be nice.
A new front wheel would be a bit over the top and her frame has a seatstay mount.
Already got a cupboard full of perfectly good lights but having something permanent would be handy in her case. -

Not sure of your definition of cheap, but Reelight could be worthwhile?

I'm pretty sure someone on here has discussed this lately, user jacqueluque maybe.
I think SJS have some bottle dynamos that look a little more modern than the usual cracked plastic jobs -

It's a '91 Karakoram set up as my commuter/town bike. Rock solid and very comfy. Dynamo lights were the last piece of the puzzle.

Still got this set up hanging about if you wanted to try it out …

Can I use a secula with an Supernova triple?

I am looking for a dynamo rear light to be mounted either on seatstay or using a rack mount, front is going to be IQ-X. What would you recommend? Looking at Busch Muller, I am interested either in Secula Plus or μ.
Is it possible to turn off the rear light during the day but keep the daylight mode on IQ-X? Wondering if I can avoid blinding my child in kid trailer when towing it. -

Don't think so.
You can use the Toplight either to two bolts on a rack or, using an adaptor, with one bolt
to the actual rack mount braze ons on the seatstay, like so:

Spent some time yesterday installing this snazzy B&M rear light to my mudguard on my commuter.
Cleaned out the mudguard, big clean with bike cleaner, then degreaser, then isopropyl. Sneaked the cable through, tucked it under the first stay bridge and topped up with gorilla tape all the way down.
Unfortunately, it's not quite long enough to meet the light at the front (on a rack) so I've got some cables and connectors coming from SJS.
