Anyone got a recommendation for a decent compact umbrella? Ideally amazon or a physical shop.

York, but I'm not sure whether it'll happen now

I've found Fulton ones to be fine, available from lots of shops like John Lewis or Amazon. Big range so pick whichever size/style you need.

Is anyone aware of resources for finding locations like this in London to go and checkout? I don’t even know what to call it. 70s/80s lounge, slightly brutalist, aesthetic?
This is from an old hotel in upstate New York, but places I like in London are The Renoir and NFT. Hoping there are hotels like this with bars I can check out.

Barbican, The Standard hotel, the weird red foyer of Bureau in the design district if you can get in (members co working space).

Reminds me of Spiritland in Kings Cross, although it's a bit half-hearted in there.
And yeah the upstairs Martini bar in the Barbican has that circular concrete motif.

Cheers for the brolly suggestions.
Blunt are probably more than I can justify for an xmas present.
If anyone has any other bright ideas for someone who might have to go to Scotland occasionally but regularly for work.

I need some 10mm hose to connect to the dehumidifier, so it'll drain directly instead into the little box. I think it's the same size hose used for aquariums too.
Left it too late and cheapest I could find is from Leyland at c. £70.
Anyone knows of hardware stores around Central or SE which sells them at a cheaper rate? Or someone has some going spare?
10m would be ideal but 5m would do just fine.

RS-Components in Bermondsey might be a bit cheaper than Leyland? Not clear about what's stocked from the website

A raincoat. A brolly will be useless due to the wind.

Picked up a beautiful full length Elm wood umbrella from them years ago, lost it within half an hour.
I have an Ince these days, every bit as nicely made. -

I would like to buy something that I can mount onto bricks (the external wall of my house) on one side, and an auto latch on the other side. It needs to push the auto latch off the wall by 110mm, and to mount the auto latch I have it needs to be 60 x 70 mm. For various reasons I don't want to do the normal thing of buying a whole massive post to fix the auto latch to.
I had been thinking I'd want some treated wood for this, but trying to look for somewhere I can buy something close to that measurement either to collect in person (in Derbyshire) or order online is looking tricky so far.
So 2 questions ...
Is there a good place to buy custom cuts of treated wood online that isn't gonna cost me circa £40 for what I feel should be a small bit of wood?
Is there a better choice of material for the application that I haven't thought of?

What should I fill a parts washer with, to use in an enclosed metal working space with general ventilation, that will minimise hazards to users and people in the vicinity, please? Currently working to convince folks that hydrosol p180 is not the best choice…

I've always wanted to go into this place. As a kid my bus to the west end went past here and I always used to look out for it.
