Bonus kick in the teeth: this policy, begun under the most corrupt government we've had in living memory (conservative, naturally), is being continued by our nominally 'Labor' government... Because neoliberalism, aka neofuedalism, is all there is on the table.

The whole submarine bullshit was bizarre tho; ask the French to turn their nuclear sub into a conventional one “because we don’t like nuclear here” then complain that it’s not nuclear.
Do you happen to know Adelaide fared? I know the city was putting their hopes on the naval yard after the car plants closed (we were considering an office there at one point).
