I did - have posted before (so apologies to others seeing this again).
Summary is that it took me a few years to sort out constant strains and stiffness, but it came down to strength- single leg calf raises, bent knee and straight knee, and both high reps at body weight, and low reps with weight (smith machine and a loaded barbell).
Also I started wearing barefoot shoes - not for running but just general kicking around use. After 6 months, maybe more, I could run a couple of ks in them.
You got a lacrosse ball/pressure point ball thingy?
